Shop the farmers markets in Rusk County
There’s always something happening in Rusk County.
Throughout the year, enjoy unique community celebrations, festivals, farmers markets, car shows, races and other fun events in Rusk County. Don’t miss annual events like the Northwoods Bluegrass Festival in June, Northland Mardi Gras in July and Leaf It To Rusk in September. Winter brings a number of rides and special events sponsored by area snowmobile clubs. Each winter, cross-country skiers gather for the Blue Hills Ascent. Throughout the summer and into the fall, you’ll find fresh produce at the Ladysmith Farmer’s Market, Wednesdays from 12pm to 4pm and Saturdays from 8:30am to noon.

The Farmer's Market will be open every Wednesday and Saturday from July 1st to October 31st. The Farmer's Market will be open from noon to 4 on Wednesdays and 8:30 to noon on Saturdays. The market is located on Highway 8 at W 4th St. (at the railroad tracks) in Ladysmith. An excellent market with a wide variety of vendors.

Pro Arte String Quartet
Flambeau Valley Arts Event-- Founded in 1912, the Pro Arte Quartet became the Court Quartet to Queen Elizabeth of Belgium. In 1940, on a tour of the USA, the musicians were stranded by the outbreak of a World War II and accepted a residency at the UW-Madison, the first such residency in a major American university. Flambeau Valley Arts Event -- Enjoy the talent of our local youth, under the directionof talented Actor/Directors from Missoula Children's Theater company will produce an original musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale. A new princess is born, and from far and wide the people of the kingdom gather to clebrate. One simple mistake is made- an invitation is misplaced.. and the hi-jinks begin. Rehearsals begin May 9, after auditions. Performances on May 14 at 3 pm and 7 pm. It will be $8/adult, $3/student. (ticket for the same person to attend a second show $4 additional).
