Snowmobile Trail Update - February 24, 2010
Conditions are perfect in Rusk County. No new snow this week, but cool overnight temps with additional grooming have kept the trails in great shape. Groomers are reporting very good conditions throughout the County. The forecast again this weekend looks to be ideal for sledding with temps in the low thirties during the day and cold overnights. Be advised that a couple of trails (NE of Ladysmith) have seen some damage from logging operations. Time is running out on the season and there is no better time than now to get out and ride. Always ride with caution and be aware of changing conditions.
And while you are out riding this weekend be sure to stop by the weekend’s snowmobile club event- Saturday, February 27, 2010, Sheldon Snowmobile Club Brat & Chili Feed at Reich’s Roadhouse in Sheldon, WI, on trail 99. 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information contact Ken Kochevar at (715) 452-5536.
