Snowmobile Trail Update - December 26, 2008
Friday, December 26th, 2008

Bruce Area Trails Closed – Due to warm weather and rain the snowmobile trails in the Bruce area have been closed.  The remainder of the county remains open with poor conditions at best.  Groomers have packed some trails, but Friday’s weather did cause deterioration.  Local riders may want to hit the trails, but we would recommend any one travelling from a distance may want to wait for better conditions.  Snow is forecase for the next 5 of 6 days, so conditions could improve.  Check back for details.

December 19, 2008 - X-Country Ski Trails
Saturday, December 20th, 2008

X-Country Ski trails in Rusk County are open and are seeing groomers.  A base of about 6" has been established, and is being packed.  Trails are still a little uneven and need more snow to get them leveled out.  Rock skiis are probably the best, but regular skiis would be alright if caution is used.   More snow is expected this weekend, with projections for up to a foot in the Blue Hills area, with 5-8" in Ladysmith. For more detailed information visit www.bluehillswisconsin.com
