Snowmobile Trail Update - February 28, 2009
Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Rusk County Snowmobile Trails are again open - effective immediately.  A good heavy 6"+ of snow was received late in the week and groomers have been out on most trails.  Early reports indicate poor to fair conditions throughout the County.  The best conditions can be found in the Blue Hills area, and on trails in forested areas where the base remained from early season.  Trails in town, fields, and open areas are poor where no base was present.  Get out and ride the second season… this weekends event is a Brat and Chili Feed at Reich’s Roadhouse in Sheldon, put on by the Sheldon Snowmobile Club.  As condition reports come in from the groomers, we’ll post updates here.

Snowmobile Trail Update - December 27, 2008 - Trails Closed
Saturday, December 27th, 2008

Temporary Closure — All snowmobile trails throughout Rusk County have closed until further notice.  Warm temps and rain have deteriorated trails over the last 24 hours, requiring trails to be shut down.  As additonal snowfall is received and colder temps return, trails will reopen.
