There are lots of ways to Unwind Your Mind this summer in Rusk County. Canoe or kayak the Flambeau, Chippewa, Thornapple and Jump rivers. Mountain bike and hike Sister’s Farm Trail, the Blue Hills Trail System and the trails at the former Flambeau Mine sites. Geocaching has also become a popular activity in Rusk County—you’ll find lots of caches hidden throughout the area. Rusk County’s rivers and more than 250 lakes and flowages offer great fishing. The hub for all your Rusk County adventures is Ladysmith, offering shopping, dining and historic attractions.
